Internship Opportunity

Our internship program offers valuable exposure to both the operations of a financial planning firm and the dynamics of a small business. Primarily, the program attracts finance and economics majors who assist our operations manager in preparing client reports and organizing files for advisor meetings. These reports provide insights into client performance, rates of return, and a comprehensive view of their overall financial progress. Interns also gain knowledge of various investment products, including stocks, mutual funds, annuities, REITs, and accredited investor programs, learning when and why these products are integrated into a client’s portfolio.

Interns receive hands-on experience with industry-standard software such as Albridge, Morningstar, Emoney, Salesforce, and Redtail. In their second semester, interns may attend client meetings alongside the advisor and assist in financial plan development. Throughout the internship, interns will work on small projects that support the team, such as researching investment performance, cost basis analysis, or other forensic accounting tasks. They are also invited to attend staff meetings and contribute to the firm’s culture. For interns who remain with the firm for more than a year, full-time opportunities may become available based on the firm’s needs.

The internship is unpaid for the first semester, with a commitment of at least 15 hours per week, spread over no less than three hours per workday. It typically qualifies for university internship credit, with a supervisor submitting grades and reports as required by the respective programs. Second-semester interns, after a review and approval, are paid hourly.
